Shadowsmiths Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Consultants was formed in 2005 as a new breed of veterinary teleradiology. Shadowsmiths is unique in veterinary teleradiology because it is owned, operated, and run solely by the radiologists providing interpretations to our clients.

All images sent to Shadowsmiths must be in a DICOM format sent by a "DICOM connection" to our servers. Shadowsmiths specializes in digital radiography, CT, and MRI referrals. Shadowsmiths radiologists only interpret radiographic images obtained by primary digital capture which includes computed radiography and flat panel digital radiography. Shadowsmiths understands the limitations of static ultrasound images and the operator dependant nature of ultrasonography and therefore does not provide ultrasound consultations.
